FBLA Collegiate is the collegiate division of the largest career student organization in the world: Future Business Leaders of America. Our goal is to develop business leadership in all our members giving them a competitive edge in the job market while strengthening their sense of confidence and work ethic. Through education, collaboration, and service we forge innovation and promote success in our community. Our chapter revolves around three pillars of experience: professional, philanthropy, and community. FBLA is a professional development organization that participates in business competitions at the state and national levels. Through our social, philanthropic, and professional pillars, we equip members with the real world skills to help them grow as people and professionals. Attend workshops, seminars, social events, volunteer events, and apply for leadership roles to develop your personal and professional skills. Professionalism

Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate hosts and helps facilitate professional events throughout the year. Join us for mock interviews, resume critiques, workshops, career fair prep, corporate connections, and more. Take on leadership roles and help make FBLA a great experience for everyone. Future Business Leaders of America competes in statewide and national leadership conferences; hone your skills in business and get rewarded for your efforts in the form of speeches, performance events, or online exams. Find internships and jobs through our network of corporate sponsors, alumni connections, and featured guest speakers.

Philanthropy

Future Business Leaders of America is dedicated to service. Volunteer for various events in collaboration with the College of Business or volunteer to serve the Champaign-Urbana community and beyond. Even during Covid-19, our chapter is invested in online volunteering. Share your passion and help create or find service opportunities. Together, we aim to create a large network of opportunities and support. Past philanthropy events we have engaged in includes providing books to prisoners, volunteering online to transcribe documents for the Smithsonian, and participating in Illini Lights Out.

Exclusive Opportunities

Our chapter competes in Illinois FBLA Collegiate's State Leadership Conference (SLC) in Effingham, Illinois that qualifies finalists to compete in Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference (NLC). Each year, NLC is hosted in a different city and provides students opportunities to test their knowledge and skills through competitive events, share success, and learn new ways to shape their careers through workshops and exhibits. Travel to great American cities like Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Baltimore, MD, and Nashville, TN! Additionally, being a member registered at the national level includes benefits such as scholarships, exclusive networking opportunities, and discounts.
