How to Prepare for Case Interviews
Now, more than ever, employers are incorporating case-style interview formats for positions beyond consulting. Most students feel they have a good grasp on answering behavioral-type questions. But what about case-related questions? Casing is not something you can learn overnight and takes dedication and investment. The Office of Career & Professional Development is hosting a 2-part session – the first part is to help students understand the fundamentals of case interviews. During the second part, we have invited Stout, a global investment bank and advisory firm, to share tips on preparing for case interviews.

Feel free to attend one or both sessions!

Part 1 (5:00pm-6:00pm) – Case Interview Prep: The Basics presented by Gies Case Interview Coaches
Note: This session is a repeat of the August 26th session so if you have already attended, you do not need to attend Part 1. Feel free to attend Part 2.
Hundreds of companies utilize case interviews in their recruitment process- from major consulting firms to companies like Amazon, Capital One, and Facebook. Join this workshop where you will learn case interview styles and techniques, as well enhance your problem solving skills. This session will be led by the Office of Career & Professional Development's Case Interview Coaches (Gies undergraduate students who have successfully recruited and placed at premier consulting firms).

Part 2 (6:00pm-7:00pm) – Case Interview Prep: A Company’s Perspective presented by Stout
Want to learn about case interviews from a company’s perspective? If so, please join us as we welcome Stout, a global investment bank and advisory firm where their analysts and associates will share their expertise on case interviews for finance-related roles. You will get hands-on exposure to what a typical project might look like at Stout.
