MSA Career News - Spring 2021 Edition Vol. 2
Dear MSA students,
You completed 2 weeks of the Spring 2021 semester already! It must feel like a whirlwind! And next week is our Gies Virtual Career Fair, I hope you're ready and excited!
As a reminder, I am here to help you navigate the confusing nature of virtual recruiting and how you can make the most of it. I encourage everyone, especially those of you seeking a job, to make an appointment to speak with me about your career goals. We can develop a strategy that works for you! If you have specific questions about the Gies Virtual Career Fair, we have drop-in hours to answer all of your questions!

One-on-one Appointment Availability in 2021
Career Services is still open and available in a Zoom call near you! Check Handshake for updated appointment calendars.
In Spring 2021, I am committed to being more available to you for individual appointments. Both your classmates and I have found these more valuable. This way, we have more time to talk, strategize, and work on specific job search concerns. My appointment schedule for all of Spring 2021 is available now. There are also other options to access career services:
Email Advising: Have a question on your resume, a job application, LinkedIn profile, Handshake, or anything else? Just message us! The career services team will get back to you by the next business day.
30 and 60-minute Advising Appointments: There is no question too big or too small so make an appointment to discuss your career development! Most appointments are 30 minutes while practice interviews are 60 minutes. Practice interviews are usually reserved for students with an interview invitation. Full details on how to make appointments on Handshake available here.
Consulting Case Mock Interview: If you are interested in pursuing a career in the consulting industry, you will need to do some additional preparation, which includes practicing case interviews. The Coaches will work to familiarize you with the case style, mechanics, and overall problem-solving skills.
