Since 1988, the United States has set aside the time from September 15 to October 15 as National Hispanic Heritage Month. We use this time to honor the many contributions Hispanic Americans have made and continue to make to our nation. It is a great chance to celebrate the history, culture, and traditions of people from Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
Access and Multicultural Engagement in Gies Undergraduate Affairs invites you to join us for the 2021 Gies Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off scheduled for Tuesday, September 14 from 1-3pm in the BIF Atrium. Stop by to learn more about Hispanic Heritage in the U.S., make a paper flower, take a selfie, and enjoy traditional Hispanic candies.
