Access and Multicultural Engagement invites you to join us for our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on October 6, 2021, from 4-7 pm on the Sixth Street Lawn (the grassy area between BIF and KAM).
This will be a fun evening to enjoy the vocal talent of Elis Artz with music from the Afro-Caribbean Jazz Collective and the Illinois Latin Jazz Ensemble directed by Tito Carrillo. Please bring a chair or a lawn blanket (and your family) to enjoy the incredible musical talent!
Also, the Krannert Art Museum has graciously extended its hours and will be providing self-guided tours featuring Hispanic and Latinx art pieces and our surrounding neighbors and Gies partners will be hosting various information tables. And, local Hispanic-owned food trucks will be parked along Sixth Street. The first 100 Gies undergraduate students to RSVP will receive a meal ticket (valued at $12) upon event check-in. Register today!
