Students who have mastered the material covered in certain Illinois Computer Science courses may recieve credit and satisfy prerequisites by taking a proficency exam.
Written profiency exams are offered the 1st and the 9th week of the fall and spring semester. The Computer-Based Testing Facilty (CBTF) hosts exams for courses that give computer-based profieciency exams. Computer-based exams are typically offered at the same time as written exams, but may also offer exams at other times.
