East Asian Languages and Cultures is offering the online KOR 201 in summer 2023 and FA23 Korean placement/proficiency test as follows:
SU23 KOR 201 (8-week online course) offered in summer term II
- Meets 6/12 -8/3
- 5 credit hours
- Asynchronous course with two synchronous meetings per week
- No status restrictions! (seniors and graduate students are welcome)
Students going abroad in Korea for FA23, this will be a great opportunity to learn about the Korean culture and the basics of how to speak, read and write in Korean.

1. Plan to take a Korean language class in FA23 and they have a prior knowledge of Korean
OR
2. Intend to have their LOTE requirement waived by demonstrating their proficiency level equal to that required by the college
