Math has two upcoming proficiency exams. Registration is required for anyone sitting for either exam.
NEW STUDENT Math 220 multiple-choice exam
Saturday, August 15, 9am-11am Central Time, online
**This is exam is ONLY for new first-time freshmen and new off-campus transfers who joined us in Summer 2020 or Fall 2020. Deferred students are NOT eligible for a fall proficiency exam. They make take an exam at the start of their first term of enrollment.
Registration is open now through 12pm (noon) Central Time on August 12.
Regular August Math proficiency exam
Saturday, August 29, 9am-12pm Central Time, online
Calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations are amongst the offerings; students may take ONE proficiency exam on the August 29 date if eligible.
Registration will be open from August 17 until 12pm (noon) Central Time on August 26.
The next Math exams will take place in early October and in January.

Students needing special accommodations, such as religious conflicts with the scheduled dates or DRES accommodations for extra time, should register as soon as possible for the new student exam and as close to August 17 as possible for the August 29 exam, and then email math-proficiency@illinois.edu to discuss their accommodations.
