New IS/ISIT Major Elective Course

Leslie Lewis |  Associate Dir, Academic Success - Friday, May 17, 2019
 Course Information
IS and ISIT students are invited to enroll in the new Interaction Design course.

Below are a few descriptive sentences about the new Interaction Design course. You may also refer to the attached flyer for additional course information.

The Interaction Design course is a very hands on classroom experience where you can actually build a prototype using one of the design toolkits. The course will provide a choice for you who do not want to do Data Analytics but at the same time, want to improve skills that will be applicable in the real world. “Why it matters, in one sentence: UX design is the key to making a digital world work for humans”. UX skills are amongst the top 5 IT skills required according to this recent article on Linkedin- https://learning.linkedin.com/blog/top-skills/the-skills-companies-need-most-in-2019--and-how-to-learn-them

The Interaction Design course ties in very well with the IS/ISIT Core BADM 350, BADM 352, and BADM 353 courses which focus on understanding the various aspects of designing and building information systems.

Please note: the Interaction Design course is a IS/ISIT Major Elective course.
