October 3rd Math Proficiency Exam Open!

Leslie Lewis |  Associate Dir, Academic Success - Monday, September 28, 2020
 Proficiency/Placement
Register for the October 3rd Math Proficiency Exam by September 30th at noon CST!  The October 3 math proficiency exam is open for registration to eligible students.  Proficiency exams allow students to recieve credit for a university course if the student learned the material already but does not have college credit for it. Examples: A student who was sick on the day of the Advanced Placement exam, a transfer student who cannot get a detailed syllabus to have their equivalent international transfer course evaluated at Illinois.

Information about the exams and the link for registration can be found here:  https://math.illinois.edu/academics/undergraduate-program/mathematics-proficiency-examinations

A conflict exam is available for major conflicts, e.g. students with a religious conflict with Saturday exams.

Students who are not able to take the October profieciancy exam will have the opportunity to take the exam January 2021.  The January proficiency exam has moved to an earlier date.  Because math proficiency exams are now online and we have more new January students than usual, we are moving the January 2021 math proficiency exam to the Saturday BEFORE classes begin, Saturday, January 16, 9am-12:30pm Central Standard Time.  Registration for the January 2021 exam will open in January and close at NOON CST on Wednesday, January 13.

Schedule an appointment with your Adcademic Advisor to discuss your math proficiency options.
