Resources for International Students

Question Regarding your F-1 Status

Questions regarding your status should be directed to the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office.

Our ISSS office has made a video below to include detailed information about I-20, Visa, Travel to USA, Port of Entry Document, Going through Custom, I-94 Form, etc.

English Placement Test

If you have been admitted on Limited-status due to language deficiency, you are strongly recommended to take the EPT well before classes begin. The EPT consists of two parts: a written test and an oral test. The writing test requires students to produce an academic essay based on the information obtained from a series of short reading passages and a short lecture. In the oral test, students are asked to complete a series of speaking tasks during a separate oral interview.

EPT Registration: You need to GET YOUR NETID first. Register for your EPT exam if you have been admitted under Limited Status. Additional information will be provided at the academic advising webinar in July.

Scam Safety

ISSS has been alerted that students have been contacted by individuals claiming to be police officers or law enforcement (either from the U.S. or the student's home country), indicating that the student is suspected of illegal activity, and the asking students to pay money to avoid prosecution. This is a scam. Read more about how to identify a scam and what should you react to a potential scam.
