PMBA/MBA’s News you Can Use!
It’s Career Fair / Recruiting Season!!
September 4, 2020
I hope that your classes are going well and you are finding time to de-compress and get some rest as the beginning of the school year can be exhausting!! It was great seeing a few of you last week at our Graduate Welcome Event on the south quad.
As we get settled back into the school routine, please make an effort to schedule time to meet with me (virtually). I can’t wait to hear about your summer internships, experiences and accomplishments.
I am setting up some MBA career meet-up times for you to “drop-in” to my Zoom room anytime you have a quick question or need some quick advice. I do ask that if you are looking for a resume review/cover letter review, practice interview or job offer chat, please schedule a time to meet with me so that I can be sure that we have time set-aside for a dedicated advising.

Internship offer conversion to Full-time??
Did you receive a full-time job offer from your summer internship? Please schedule time with me so that we can discuss your offer, negotiation strategies, acceptance timeline and overall benefits package.
LAMP List…
It is that time of year to dust off your LAMP list, revisit existing connections with professionals and alumni, and make some new ones. It is never too early to start your informational interviews. If you need a refresher on the LAMP list, outreach strategy or tracking, just ask.
Resume on Handshake:
As you prepare for fall recruiting, a friendly reminder to upload your polished MBA resume and make sure that it is ‘visible’ for employers and resume books.

FAQ
Q: Microsoft has not scheduled to host discipline specific first round interviews at our business program. Does that mean you are not recruiting with our business program?
A: We consider applicants who apply via our global career site from all MBA programs. This year we are hosting “umbrella” first round screen events, which will allow us to consider MBAs from multiple business programs across the country. Therefore, it is important for students to formally apply to any roles of interest directly at our global career site to be considered.
Q: What is a hard deadline for when students interested in FT MBA roles apply?
A: While there is no “cut off” date for FT MBA applicants to apply, students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible (ideally no later than Sunday, September 20th 2020).
