Employer-Related Events
Employer-related events can be a great opportunity to gather knowledge about the organization, explore what you’re interested in (and not interested in), and learn what type of candidate they are seeking. It is also a great opportunity to build connections and expand your network. Even if you are not their target group, it doesn’t hurt to ask questions to build your knowledge base and build connections with company representatives.

We are very excited to be launching the next round of Skills Accelerator sessions at the end of February! Please find information about the initiative below, and check out bp.com/sa to learn more about the five virtual sessions that will be running.
What is the bp Skills Accelerator?
A series of free, 75-minute virtual skills sessions aimed at students (but open to anyone). bp’s mission is to upskill students or anyone interested investing in themselves across the world in the critical workplace skills of the future. This means owning the Skills Agenda in global graduate attraction, and reinforcing our unique differentiator as the voice of the futurefor the industry. 2021 International Illini Networking (Virtual)

Are you an international student and interested to chat with alumni who were once international students themselves? Do you want to hear their career stories and experience? If so, we encourage you to register for this event! During this event, current international students will have the opportunity to virtually meet alumni working in the U.S. and other countries, to expand their network. This event is hosted by the Career Services Council.
