First Day of Instruction
Attend all your coursework and complete your assignments. Each Canvas site can be set up differently for each instructor. At your first Study Table, your mentors will help you walk through all your Canvas sites to be sure you know how view announcements, modules, and submit assignments.
Spring Kick-Off, January 22nd at 4pm
Join us in The Lab for the Spring Kick-Off at 4pm on January 22nd. We will pass out Starter Pack and other items. Come dressed ready for your professional headshot. A photographer will be on location.

Economic booms and busts are periods of rapid growth and sudden downturn in the economy. During these times, governments aim to stabilize the economy to prevent significant downturns. Your first semester was full of rapid growth and downturns. Question - What personal practices help you stay grounded regardless of highs and lows from external pressures?
Action Step - Consider what you need to stabilize yourself as you walk into a new spring semester.

Gies Scholars Honors Application Deadline
The application is open to current Gies first-year (freshmen) students who will be sophomores in Fall 2026. The application deadline is 11:59pm on February 2. Review the program and apply here.
