Dear MSF Students,
Hi, as mentioned in the "Highlighted Events" email sent last week, we are spotlighting the below event as it might be of interest to finance students. Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve will be presenting on the state of the U.S. economy as well as representatives from S&P Global Ratings, Blackstone and more. To view the agenda and to register, please see below.
Wall Street Journal Jobs Summit
Thurs, March 4 | 12:00pm-4:00pm EST/ 11:00am-3:00pm CT | Register here
At The Wall Street Journal, we aim to give students the tools they need to navigate their professional and postgraduate paths. Which is why we are hosting our second WSJ Jobs Summit, a complimentary event designed to provide students and new graduates with a modern toolkit to navigate the complexities of the job market. Hear from a variety of industry leaders, including Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve, and Laura Fennell, Intuit EVP and chief people and places office.
If you cannot attend all the sessions, I would recommend checking out the first session on "What's Up with the Economy" starting at 11:05am CT (if your schedule allows)
Session 1: WHAT’S UP WITH THE ECONOMY?
PART 1: Join the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, and The Wall Street Journal’s Chief Economics Correspondent Nick Timiraos as they discuss the state of the American economy, the potential impact on Main Street and how that will translate to jobseekers.
Jerome Powell, Chair, The Federal Reserve
Moderator: Nick Timiraos, Chief Economic Correspondent, The Wall Street Journal
PART 2: Hear experts on the labor market, unemployment and the economy dissect the current outlook for the job market and the prospects for an economic recovery in the U.S. They’ll answer your questions about navigating the current crisis and share insights on job categories showing signs of growth.
Beth Ann Bovino, U.S. Chief Economist, S&P Global
Rebecca Dixon, Executive Director, National Employment Law Project
Moderator: Kimberly Johnson, Professional Products Editor, The Wall Street Journal
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.
