Whew! You made it through your first career fair week as a Graduate student!!
Thank you for all of the great career fair feedback yesterday. It has been a challenging year, forcing us all to think differently and try new things. Certainly not the idea state – however, I look forward to hearing more of your success as you follow-up, apply to jobs and interview. Feel free to continue sending us feedback on the virtual fairs. NNSA Graduate Fellowship Program Info Session, September 23, 1:00-2:00 pm
Fellowships Available: Protect our nation’s security as a Department of Energy NNSA Graduate Fellow. NGFP is seeking highly motivated graduate-level students to grow as the next generation of national security leaders. The one-year, salaried (with benefits) fellowships offer:
• Hands-on experience in national security and nonproliferation;
• Career development, professional networking, and specialized training events; and
• Extensive interaction and collaboration with leading national security technology and policy experts.
These positions are open to students actively pursuing their master’s or doctoral degree as well as students who have achieved their graduate degree within the past 18 months. Details about the program can be found on at https://www.pnnl.gov/projects/ngfp The current application deadline is October 2, 2020 for positions that will begin in June 2021.
Navistar Info Session 2: Operations Management Development Program, September 23 4:00-5:00 pm
The Operations Management Development Program (OMDP) is designed to recruit and develop recent college graduates who exhibit the potential for a high level of achievement in operations management and who, throughout the course of the program, demonstrate the ability to progress to senior management. The OMDP is a two-year rotational program with four, six-month rotations in areas such as engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain. By gaining experience in these core pillars of operations, we uniquely develop leaders that have a broad set of skills that can be applied cross-functionally. Associates are supported with strong mentorship to help guide their career, even long after their time in the OMDP.
Virtual Career Fair (Applied Health Sciences and DIA Student Athletes), September 23rd 5:00 pm 8:00 pm - The Fighting Illini Virtual Career Fair is open to all students but is targeting student-athletes and students majoring or minoring in fields of study under the College of Applied Health Sciences. This annual event is a premier career advancement and internship opportunity event for AHS students and student-athletes.
