NEW- Double Majors Policy in Gies Business
Undergraduate students enrolled in the Gies College of Business will now have the opportunity to elect any two business majors as double majors for one degree (compared to the previous policy which required majors in separate departments to be completed as dual degrees). This update goes into effect on January 14th as an option for current students. Therefore, all students who entered UIUC in Fall 2018 or earlier, including future inter-college transfer students who will enter Gies this Fall 2019, will have a choice of double majors or dual degrees up until August 26th.
Effective August 26, 2019 for current and incoming students, the previous dual degrees policy will no longer be an option (with the exception of students who had already declared them). Students who elect to have any two business majors will be working toward one degree (double majors). It is not possible to choose three majors for one degree. All freshmen and off-campus transfer students who enter UIUC Fall 2019 or later will only have the single major or double majors options available to them.
