The University of Illinois Chapter of the International Business Honor Society
This is the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society. Since 1913, we have recognized and honored top performing students from around the world in business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accredits just 5% of schools worldwide assuring that BGS members belong to an organization synonymous with the highest standards of academic excellence. The top 10% of sophomores, juniors and seniors who have completed at least one year of coursework at the UofI, the top 20% of masters students who have completed half their coursework, and all doctoral candidates that have successfully defended their dissertation are eligible to join. An invitation will automatically be sent to all eligible students in the spring of each academic year.
Eligible students are invited to the spring induction ceremony, and can also participate in chapter activities such as BGS Gives Back.
BGS members receive discounts at select businesses and are eligible for application fee waivers, scholarships, and tuition discounts at certain graduate schools.
BGS members have the ability to connect with other members through 31 alumni chapters and 10 alumni networks worldwide.
