Principles

Previously known as the Business Honors Program, the Gies Scholar Program is designed to develop high-potential students into strong business leaders who not only excel intellectually, but also understand that with success comes responsibility to serve their communities, their alma mater, and each other.

Using skills developed through the Gies Scholar Program, students will become undergraduate leaders dedicated to making Gies College of Business a better place for all students.

A 4-year, renewable merit scholarship
An international business cultural immersion short-term trip
Service/philanthropic events impacting Gies College of Business and/or the community
A seminar series, “Conversation with Leaders,” with national and international business leaders

Social activities for Gies Scholars to foster community

A mentorship program to teach students to rely on each other for support and counsel and begin to develop a life-long network of business contacts

A guest speaker series for honors students with esteemed Gies faculty and staff
Opportunities to build connections with the Gies Scholar Alumni Association
Designated honors advising with the Honors Coordinator
