Cost of Attendance and Billing

You can use the Illinois Cost Calculator or refer to the documents below to obtain an estimate of your tuition, campus fees and other estimated costs. Please also review the FAQ list below to understand the billing information.

When Am I Billed?

Payment is due on the 28th of each month unless you are enrolled in the optional UI-Pay Payment Plan.
Summer Tuition & Fees due: June 28
Fall Tuition & Fees due: September 28
Spring Tuition & Fees due: February 28

Scholarship Distribution

If you have been awarded any scholarship, the scholarship amount will be credited to your student account each semester after the 10th day of class:
MSA: Summer - 20%; Fall - 40%; Spring - 40% of the total scholarship amount
MSBA, MSM and MSTM: Fall - 50%; Spring - 50% of the total scholarship amount

How Do I Pay My Bill?

  • You can pay your bill online, in-person, by mail, or by wire transfer. Instructions for each payment method are found on the University Bursar website.
  • International payment options are offered through: "Flywire", "PayMyTuition" or "CIBC International Student Pay".
  • Government/Company sponsored students should review the Sponsor Billing information.

Financial Aid for U.S. Citizens

The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) is your primary resource for questions regarding federal financial aid. For students who are U.S. citizens, they can assist with your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information and understanding the types of aid available to you.

Campus Jobs

MSA, MSBA, MSM and MSTM students are limited to hourly positions on campus. Please look for campus positions on the University Virtual Job Board (claim your NetID first).
