A holistic leadership conference exclusively for James Scholars

Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois prides itself on its preparation of students to become leaders in business and society. One of those leaders, Mr. Thomas Sleeman, College of Business Class of ’54, made a significant financial contribution to the College of Business to fund leadership education for top students. The Sleeman Leadership Institute, an annual program for James Scholars is a direct result of Tom and Nancy Sleeman's generosity. The conference faciliates meaningful programming to help develop leadership skills to they can put into practice no matter where they are.

Sleeman Leadership Institute is going virtual for 2021!

Ordinarily, Sleeman is offered as a one-day conference in BIF. This year, Sleeman will take place as a series of holistic leadership development events February 18-26. These interactive sessions will cover topics such as first impressions, communication, workplace culture, financial wellness, health, and teamwork to set you on the path to becoming a well-rounded, fully realized leader. Even if you previously attended Sleeman Leadership Institute, you will find new and different opportunities to benefit from this year.
