Mandatory Advising
All Success Students are required to meet with an advisor before Fall 2023 course registration. A hold will be placed on your account if you do not attend mandatory advising. Review the questions below to schedule your appointment.
When should I meet with my advisor?
Your appointment must be between the dates of March 20th and April 7th.
When will appointments between March 20th and April 7th open?
Appointments are typically available to book 14 days out. For example, appointments on March 20th may open March 6th. Keep a close eye on availability; check back daily for a openings.
Which advisor can I meet with?
Your level of academic standing determines your options for advisors. 1A students can meet with any available advisor. 1B, 1C and Re-entry students must meet with Leslie Lewis. If you do not know your academic standing level, then you are welcome to meet with Leslie to be on the safe side.
How can I schedule an appointment?
Schedule your appointment with an advisor online. Express Advising is not an option for meeting the requirement.
What will we do at my advising meeting?
Your advisor will want to know how your semester has been going. Advisors have access to your required assessments, so they may go over information you shared to make sure you are receiving the support you need. They will check your degree progress with your DARS, and help you develop course plans for Fall 2023.
We hope this information is helpful as you make your recovery decisions. More information about the Student Success Program can be found on Gies Groups. The Undergraduate Advising Team looks forward to meeting with you soon!
