APPLY FOR MAY 2023 GRADUATION!

Apply for May 2023 Graduation!

Congratulations on making it to your final semester!  Students planning to graduate May 2023 are required to complete a degree application for degree processing and conferral.  Follow the steps below and attend Graduation Express Advising November 9th to make sure you are ready to graduate.

APPLY during course registration!

Notify the college of your May 2023 graduation plans through Self-Service as soon as your time ticket opens. Instructions to APPLY for graduation can be found on Undergraduate Academic Advising Gies Groups. You have until the 10th day of Spring 2023 instruction apply to through Self-Service.

CONFIRM using your DARS!

After you apply for graduation, you can confirm your name is on the May 2023 Graduation List by running a new DARS. This typically takes 24 hours after you apply for graduation.  Follow the instructions on Gies Groups to CONFIRM your name is on the graduation list, and view instructions to review your DARS to make sure you are on track for graduation.  Attend Express Advising and Graduation Express Advising to speak with an advisor about your graduation progress.

CELEBRATE May 2023!

  • Ceremonies:  Applying for graduation means you will begin receiving ceremony information in the spring.  Upcoming ceremony information will be provided on the Campus Commencement  and Gies Convocation pages. 
  • First Destination Celebration:  If you have landed a new job or been accepted to graduate school, please attend the First Destination Celebration and complete the Illinois Success Survey to recieved a gift.

  • Attend Graduation Express Advising Nov. 9th in the Student Success Lab (1041 BIF) from 1pm - 4:30pm.  
  • Visit Undergraduate Academic Advising Gies Groups for more information about Graduation:  Completion of Degree Requirements, College and University Graduation Honors, Degree Certification, If You Miss Certification Deadlines, etc... 
  •  Email undergrads@business.illinois.edu.
