Success Planning - Spring Map
Complete Your Progress Reports: Feb. 9th - 23rd The progress report will help you monitor your academic performance and engage with instructors early in the term. Pick up a copy in 2019 BIF or download the form here .
Failure to complete your progress report will result in a hold on your account.
Mandatory FIN 221 Study Groups - Sundays, 3pm - 6pm Study Group Sessions are mandatory for all BPA students enrolled in FIN 221. You must attend for 45 minutes. Check-in at the front desk in The Lab - let the Attendant know you are attending FIN 221 tutoring. Groups start at 3pm and dinner will be served at 4pm. If you are not taking FIN 221 this semester, you will need to attend a 1:1 tutoring session for ECON 102, ECON 103, CS 105, STAT 100, or STAT 107. Visit RSM - March 18, 2026
What: RSM is one of the largest public accounting firms in the US. Come an learn more about life in public accounting and build your professional network. RSM will provide a tour of the office and refreshments, including pizza, salad and lots and lots of snacks.

Wellness Check-In
EQ Series - Feb. 11th at 11am - 1pm, The Lab Stop by to grab a free copy of Emotional Intelligence 2.0 which we will be discussing during our EQ series. Also, come celebrate Valentine's Day a few days early and make a card. We will provide the stickers, cards, and supplies and LOTS and LOTS of candy!
Gies Majors & Minors Fair Come learn more about the various majors and minors Gies has to offer! Representatives from each major in Accountancy, Finance, and Business Administration will be present along with Gies Academic Advising, the Office of Career and Professional Development, and Gies Global. Giveaway items will be given out while supplies last. Come and find your best-fit major!

Student Worker Series - Starting February 16th Available positions for the Summer and next academic year will be posted onStudent Worker Series - Student Success | Gies College of Business. The Student Success Team will be hiring front desk attendants, mentor, and tutors. If you will be here over the summer, consider being a Gies Registration Guide.
In Focus is a 4-week program designed to address concerns students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and ADHD-like symptoms commonly have. This series is typically offered throughout the fall and spring semesters. This program is open to all Illinois students—you do not need to be a current client of the Counseling Center.
This series is interactive and gives students practical tips for improving focus. We’ll cover:
Week 1: Procrastination Week 2: Time Management Week 3: Goal Setting Week 4: Stress Management and Self-Care It works best if you attend all weeks, but you can attend any of the weeks as a stand-alone workshop.
