Marketing Intern
The Welcome Center is the first stop for new and prospective students, alumni, and friends and families of Gies! Interns will answer questions about Gies, help direct guests to offices and units, sell Gies-branded merchandise, assist the MarCom team with projects, and provide a friendly point of contact for visitors..

The Virtual Job Board is intended to assist you in finding part-time employment.

Gies Guides
Guides assist with the daily operations of New Student Registration - Summer 2024. This position is responsible for welcoming new students and assisting with registration for fall 2024. Flexible hours are an option for Gies Registration Guides who are enrolled in summer courses. Positions are now available for Summer 2024.
AME EBL Student Leader - Summer 2025
EBL Summer Leaders develop and maintain a positive community environment within the EBL Program. Summer Leaders will serve as a resource academically, emotionally, and socially assisting students on campus and at the Gies College of Business. Housing and meals will be paid for during the program dates. The position starts May 1, 2024, and ends July 8, 2024.
AME Student Intern
The AME Student Intern provides support to the charge of the AME leadership and staff. AME Student Interns will provide administrative and program support, while serving as the co-content creator for AME's social media presence. The position starts August 18, 2024 – May 17, 2025.
Peer Mentors
Peer Mentors through Student Success assist their peers with academic skill development and community engagement. Mentors help all Gies students outline plans of study for Business Core coursework, lead study tables, and find out how to stay connected with the college. Positions will open for the upcoming academic year - Fall 2024/Spring 2025.
Gies Global Semester Program Assistant
Provide office and event support for the Gies Global Programs Exchange Coordinator. This position is for fall 2024 and has the potential to rehire for future semesters.
AME EAP Student Leader - Summer 2025
The Early Arrival Program (EAP) Student Leaders develop and maintain a positive community environment within the EAP Program. EAP Student Leaders will serve as a resource academically, emotionally, and socially assisting students during their transition to campus and the Gies College of Business. Due to program planning responsibilities, as well as actual program requirements, some remote summer hours, as well as on campus weekend and evening hours may be required. The position starts May 16, 2024, and ends August 31, 2024
Summer Upward Bound Assistants & Teachers
Program Assistants: Open to all Illinois students with Sophomore standing 40 hrs/wk. ($16/hour)
Teachers: Bachalor degree in desired subject and teaching expreience. 10hrs/wk. ($25/hour)
Success Lab Attendants
Lab Attendants provide first-class customer service to students in the Undergraduate Student Success Lab - 1041 BIF. This position serves as a referral source for students and has general knowledge of the lab and Gies. The Success Lab Workers will attend the lab during the fall and spring semesters; the lab will not be open for regular operations during the winter and summer. The office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, with occasional opportunities for after hours and weekend shifts. Positions will open for the upcoming academic year - Fall 2024/Spring 2025.
Peer Tutors
Tutors provide problem solving assistance for common first and second-year Business Core coursework. Positions will open for the upcoming academic year - Fall 2024/Spring 2025
