    OUR ADVISING MODEL

Business Career Services is committed to assisting students with making connections between their academic experience and career paths. We provide career-related advising, resources, and programs to help individuals discover their interests, values, and skills, explore careers and majors, develop skills through internships and experiential opportunities, and pursue their post-graduate goals.

    EXPLORE

Knowing the potential paths is a key first step. Career exploration includes both the ability to identify and research potential career paths, and to thoroughly investigate specific positions. Through EXPLORE programming, students discover career options within the various business disciplines.

    PREPARE

Telling your story is an art. Being able to write and speak with impact so others will see the value is critical. This insight is valuable as you develop skills in other career stages; explore career options that are a good fit, interview effectively, and develop your professional identity and professional brand. PREPARE programming focuses on personal branding.

    ENGAGE

Relationships are essential for a good life, a good career, and a successful business. In ENGAGE programming, students learn how to build their network by participating in events with alumni and organizations. These networking opportunities occur both at Gies and off-campus as students visit organizations.
