Get Ready for MSF & Gies Business

We are excited for you to be a part of our world-renowned institution and to join in the rich traditions, experiential learning opportunities, innovative and cutting-edge curriculum that the MS Finance Program (MSF) at Gies College of Business has to offer.

To help you prepare for your arrival on campus to start the MSF program, we are excited to launch a “Get Ready for MSF & Gies Business” virtual event series. This series will help to orient you to your upcoming life as a MSF student at Gies Business in an informative, fun, and engaging way. Each session has its own focus so we encourage you to participate in as many of these events as possible. You’ll be glad you did.

    Are you new to the Champaign-Urbana area or even to the USA? If so, you likely have a lot of questions about your big move here such as "What do I need to bring? What to expect at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection?” or questions like “What is the weather like? How do I find housing, or a bank, or a cellphone plan?"

    In this session, some of our current students, recent alums, and MSF staff are happy to share with you their tips, tricks, and "lessons learned" as a new student here and about living in Champaign-Urbana. We hope you can join us to engage in conversation about all the things “you need to know” before and after you arrive at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
