2023 Mock Class

Insight into an MSF Classroom with Professor Pollet and Professor Pearson

Recorded: July 10, 2023

Professor Pollet, Associate Professor of Finance and a Robert and Helen P Seass Fellow, has recently won the MSF best professor award for his innovative take on our core Investments class. He has developed the material for this class over his many years of teaching and introduces you to up to date research on investment strategies. He is a world-renowned researcher and has published numerous articles in all areas of asset pricing.

Professor Pearson, is the Harry A. Brandt Distinguished Professor in Financial Markets and Options and last year won our best Professor award for his very popular Financial Risk Management class. His very challenging, rigorous but enthusiastic teaching style makes him one of the students' favorite professors on both the MSF and MSFE programs. He is also a world renowned researcher and recently his working paper, "Impact of Demand Shocks on Stock Prices: Evidence from Chinese IPOs" (with Jennifer Jie Li and Qi Zhang) won one of the best paper awards at the China Financial Research Conference (PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University, Beijing, July 2019).
