Scholarships

We see promise in all Gies Business students, and we're committed to rewarding and nurturing that promise through merit-based and need-based scholarship support. It's one more way that we help you achieve your dreams and find your path to purpose.

Each year, Gies College of Business offers numerous scholarships to get you one step closer to achieving your dreams. And working together, we can make it happen.

In previous years, students continuing in Gies College of Business were asked to complete an application to be considered for scholarships. Beginning this year, students will no longer be required to complete an application. Instead, students interested in being considered for a continuing or new scholarship should consider doing the following:

  1. Complete and file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) found here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. We understand that not all students qualify or are eligible for Federal Student Aid, so please note that this is not a requirement. However, it does assist the scholarship committee with their review.
  2. Upload a resume in Handshake that is visible to employers, students, and alumni across all Handshake universities.

There are NO additional steps besides completing a FAFSA and uploading your resume. Official notifications to continuing students will be sent by the end of July, which will include the name of your scholarship and follow-up thank you steps the recipient must take.
