Professional Express Advising Hours

Professional advisors will provide professional express advising hours (previously referred to as Drop-in Hours) to answer quick questions from the students. Below is their weekly schedule. This will help you get to know the advisor on your shift and help make appropriate referrals. Advisors have their specialties, but they can help with any question and the Lead can allow the Academic Advisor to join Peer Advisor breakout rooms if support or assistance is needed.  Click here to view the drop-in schedule with Advisor photos.

***Students should check-in for both peer advising and professional express advising at the front desk of the Success Lab (1041 BIF). Team Leads should be listening in when students check-in, as we will need you to be vocal in getting the student to join you or a Peer Advisor for their question. The Success Lab student worker will direct the student to the appropriate place after check-in.

Notes for Spring Semester

Tim Flanagin will ONLY be in the virtual Peer Advising zoom. All other Advisors will be in their offices. Allyson, Melinda, and Dionna will be in the ACCY suite (1045 BIF). Corey, Jeff, Leslie, Kiona, and Heather will be in the OUA suite (1055 BIF). *Please feel free to direct message any of the advisors who are on drop-ins with you if you have a question while working with a student.

All OUA Advisors can now advise ANY student (Undeclared, Finance, and Business Administration). Of course, during Express we see any Gies or non-Gies student but if a student has a specific question they can see any of us. If it's an ACCY-specific question, encourage them to use Express Advising when an ACCY Advisor is present.
