This position has a virtual front-desk role, as well as management responsibilities. Peer Advisors may apply for the paid Team Lead position after completing one fall and one spring as a Peer Advisors. Since the fall and spring look very different, it's important to use that these leaders can communicate what to expect year round to new Peer Advisors.
Jess Oswald and Cindy Yu are our Coordinators for the 2021-2022 academic year. Applications for Coordinators will open February 2022 for the 2022-2023 academic year. One Coordinator is responsible for creating the schedule, managing Spring Semester Planning Workshops, and overseeing daily operations. One Coordinator will manage data, lead marketing efforts, and assist with daily operations. Heather supervises both Coordinators.
Michelle Shen is our TA for the 2021-2022 & 2022 - 2023 academic years. This position will assist with course content, host office hours for students, and grade assignments. We seek organized, dependable, and experienced Peer Advisors or Team Leads for this position.
Students can serve as both Team Leads/Peer Advisors and Success Lab student-workers. The purpose of this position to operate the front desk of the Undergraduate Success Lab and be knowledgeable of all resources offered within Gies to appropriate refer students. The goal of this position for the 2022-2023 academic year is to combine the Team Lead and Success Lab Student Worker role into one.
Gies Guides are expected to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays during OCT and Freshman New Student Registration programs. Any Gies Business student can apply!
