If you are declaring for the first time, changing, or adding your major, and want it to go into effect this semester then you MUST submit a Major Declaration form by the following dates in order for your request to be processed for the current term:
Changing or Adding a Second Major: September 1st is the deadline for declared majors to change or add a second Gies major to go into effect this semester. Requests from declared majors received at other times will not be processed until the next change of major period.
First Time Declaring a Major: October 13th is the final fall day for Gies Business students to declare their major for the first time. If you do not declare your major by this date, then you run the risk of major course restrictions during the Spring 2024 registration period.
Gies+DS & Supply Chain Management Applicants:
Students planning to apply to the Gies+DS or Supply Chain Management programs will NOT be impacted by the September 1st and October 13th declaration deadlines
Gies +DS: You can fill out the major declaration form, but you will not be approved until you meet the minimum major criteria. Click HERE to find out more
Supply Chain Management Applications: Supply Chain Management applicants will still need to complete the program application bythe deadline. Students accepted into the Supply Chain Management major will have their major changed by Gies Undergraduate Records.
If you have already declared your major, then DO NOT complete the Major Declaration form unless you need to change or add a second major.
Scheduled Appointment:You have the ability to schedule a 1 on 1 advising appointment with a Gies Academic Advisor. Accountancy students should choose Accountancy advisors, all other students should choose Office of Undergraduate Programs Advisors.
We look forward to meeting with you and helping you make decisions soon!
