Minor Courses
The Business Minor consists of four-core courses (ACCY 200, BADM 310, BADM 320 and FIN 221) and two electives that must be successfully completed for a letter grade. These courses do not have to be taken in any particular order except when a pre-requisite course is required. Students must successfully complete all listed prerequisites needed to enroll in the Business Minor courses. We do consider substitutes for the elective requirement (e.g., study abroad courses) however the core course must have exact equivalents if taken off campus. Students must earn at least six unique credits at the 300 level or above toward the minor that do not count for a major or other minor requirement.

ACCY 200 Fundamentals of Accounting (or ACCY 201 & ACCY 202 Accounting and Accountancy I & II. We do not reserve seats in ACCY 201 & ACCY 202 for Business Minors)

FIN 221 Corporate Finance (ECON 102 or ECON 103 is an enforced prerequisite)

A minimum of 50% of credit hours for the minor must be earned with University of Illinois Urbana Champaign credit

Minimum of six hours of coursework at the 300 level or above must be distinct from credits earned for the student's major or another minor

Students must have a minimum of a 2.00 GPA in all Business Minor courses to graduate with the minor.
