Virtual Global Experiences

Internships are a vital experience for Gies students, and the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for students seeking meaningful internships. Turn that challenge into an opportunity with a virtual project or internship within an international setting. Below are virtual international projects and internship programs being offered to Gies students. Students are also encouraged to look at Handshake for more virtual internship opportunities. Two opportunities - Vienna (deadline Sept 7) and South Africa (deadline Sept 15) - are available this Fall. Others will be open for Spring.

Costs for participating in virtual international programs vary, but scholarships are available for Gies undergrads, designed to cover ALL of the costs of the virtual international internships.

Gies students participating in virtual international projects are required to enroll in LAS 292 (1-credit, pre-professional course) during the term of their project or internship.
