March is Deadline Season - Spring 2025!
Make you decisions by reviewing the upcoming deadlines and policies. Please be sure to reach out to areas that may be impacted by your decisions - ISSS, Illinois Financial Aid, University Bursar, scholarships, etc. International Students: You must be enrolled in at least 9 hours of in-person Illinois coursework to meet regulations regarding a full course of study.
March 14th
Drop a 16 Week Course: Students can drop a 16 week course through Self-Service without a grade of W by March 14th.
Elect Credit/No Credit for Elective Courses: Students can complete an Illinois elective course for ungraded credit. This option cannot be used with General Education, Business Core, Major or Minor requirements. Review the policy and complete the Credit/No Credit Form on Undergraduate Advising Gies Groups.
Apply for Grade Replacement: Students can repeat Illinois courses in which a C- or below was earned and use the new Illinois grade to replace the Illinois grade earned in the first attempt. Review this policy and complete the Grade Replacement Form on Undergraduate Advising Gies Groups.
Resolve Incomplete Grades for 16- week Fall 2024 Coursework: Outstanding full term coursework for Fall 2024 Incomplete Grades ( I Grades) must be completed the by the end of the 8th week of the semester (March 14th). Failure to resolve I grades by the deadline will result in a faiing grade. Review the policy for I grades on Undergraduate Advising Gies Groups.
Initiate a Formal Withdrawal: If you are needing time away, you are able to withdraw (drop all courses) without a grade of W by March 14th. Review the Withdrawal policy on Undergraduate Advising Gies Groups.
March 24th
Second Eight-Week Courses Begin: View second eight-week courses (POT B) on Course Explorer. Remember, these are 16 weeks-worth of coursework in 8 weeks, so plan your time accordingly.
March 28th
Add/Drop a Second 8-Week Course: You can drop an eight-week course through Self-Service without a grade of W by March 28th.
