The Department of Accountancy offers $300K in scholarships to make our program available to more students.
There are over 40 teaching assistantships available, many of which are in our introductory accountancy courses.
Teaching assistantships provide a resident base-rate tuition waiver ($7,237 per semester for 25-26) plus a monthly stipend (ranging from $1,344 - $1,774 per month for 25-26) in exchange for an average of 10-13 hours of work per week. Teaching assistantships can be a cornerstone of your graduate experience as they provide connections and opportunities to work with faculty, students, and professionals. The Department of Accountancy offers both Non-Classroom Teaching Assistant (NCTA) and Teaching Assistant (TA) positions. NCTAs assist faculty in class preparation, grading, and other instructional responsibilities, but do not have any teaching responsibilities. TAs on the other hand lead small, weekly discussion sections for ACCY 201 and ACCY 202. Within your assistantship application, you will have the opportunity to list your preference of an NCTA or TA position.
The Department of Accountancy and MAS program seeks a mix of students with varying perspectives and life experiences. To that end, the Department provides financial support, in the form of fellowships, to students who help further our inclusive and welcoming community. This award consists of a full tuition waiver, plus a $10,000 stipend.
Thanks to the generous donations of alumni and friends, the MAS program has funds available for student scholarships. Most scholarships are awarded in the amount of $5,000.
The Department of Accountancy has allocated funds to provide scholarships for 1st Stage MAS students. These scholarships are only available to Gies College of Business undergrads who plan to continue their studies through the MAS program. Most scholarships are awarded in the amount of $2,500.
