Accountancy + Data Science Major

Students wishing to declare any of the Gies +DS majors must complete the following criteria prior to being allowed to declare the major:

  • STAT 107: Data Science Discovery
  • MATH 234 (or MATH 220 or MATH 221): Business Calculus (or Calculus 1)
  • Illinois gpa of 3.33 or higher
  • Catalog year of Fall 2021 or later
  • Degree should be able to be completed within the 9 semester limit set by the college
  • NOTE: From the Business Core - BADM 210 and 211 are not a part of this curriculum & STAT 107 does meet the CS 105 BUS CORE requirement. But, CS 105 will not meet the STAT 107 requirement for +DS.
