Semester programs are set to resume in Spring 2022. Applications for Spring 2022 are due September 15 and require an advising appointment with Gies Study Abroad. We hope to resume short-term faculty-led programs in May.

By participating in a study abroad program you can give yourself a competitive edge in the job market. Employers now seek out individuals who have had international experience. As more and more opportunities are being offered by the Gies College of Business and the campus, there is little excuse for graduates in today’s job market to lack exposure to the international business environment. Developing an understanding of the world beyond the boundaries of the United States is an advantage to anyone in a business career, which is why the Gies College of Business has a goal of having 100% study abroad participation.

Did you know that some of the Gies College of Business semester programs do not cost any more that a semester at UIUC?

There are many opportunities for Gies College of Business students to study abroad. Students have the option of studying abroad for a few weeks, a summer or an entire semester. In addition to programs sponsored by the Gies College of Business, the University of Illinois has hundreds of study abroad options to choose from.
