The Career Immersion Program is specifically designed to assist transfer students during the internship search process. With 75% of the companies preferring hires with related experiences and 53% of internships converting to full-time positions nationally, finding an internship is crucial to securing a full-time position for Gies College of Business students. Top companies recruit interns during the first 4-8 weeks of the Fall semester, and the majority of their open positions are filled during the fall recruiting season. This program aims to help you prepare for the internship search before you arrive on campus.
The program consists of three 1-hour virtual meetings on each Wednesday for the month of June at 12pm (CST). During each meeting, a career advisor will discuss the best strategies to prepare for fall recruitment and work with you to develop materials that highlight your unique value. After each module, you will complete assignments and receive direct feedback from an advisor.
