Business Analytics Minor

Introduction to the Business Analytics Minor:

In today's data-driven world, mastering Business Analytics is no longer optional but essential for staying competitive and innovative across all industries. Every firm is applying data analytics in key business processes across their value chain. These developments make it imperative that Gies undergraduate students have the opportunity, through the Business Analytics minor, to develop and showcase their expertise in applying analytics at a deeper level.

Who can Apply to be a Business Analytics Minor?

This minor is open only to undergraduate students in Gies College of Business. It is not open to students earning degrees in any other University of Illinois college. To declare a business analytics minor, you must complete a minor declaration form.

Typical Plan of Study

The Business Analytics minor consists of five core courses and one elective, all completed with letter grades. Students must also successfully complete all listed prerequisites needed to enroll in the courses.6 hours of Advanced Level coursework (300/400 level) in a Minor must be distinct (or not used) by a student’s major. That means you must have at least 6 credit hours that do not double count for another academic program (major or minor).
