Major Course Planning for Spring, 2026 Registration
Required Program for ICT and OCT students
Winter and Spring course registration is almost here and as a first-year Gies student, transfers students are required to complete a two-part registration video series. This series is valuable to learn about major specific course registration and academic success in the Gies College of Business. Each student will learn how to access their Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) to review their progress toward their degree and plan next semester's courses, so please follow along closely with a course planning form. All OCT and ICT students please refer to your Canvas sites from this summer, 2025 to watch the videos and take the quiz through Canvas. Please complete the video series by November 1st to avoid a hold being placed on your student account and you will not be able to register for Spring 2026 classes.
To review the registration process please visit the Register for Courses and Registration FAQs tabs under the Registration link above.
After you complete the series, we welcome you to schedule an appointment with a professional academic advisor. Please bring your course planning form materials to the appointment with drafted plans to discuss. You can also see a Gies Peer Advisor for help with registration assistance. They are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday's from 10am-4pm and Thursdays from 10am to noon. If you have a Major or minor-specific question or prefer a certain language you can use one of the "Schedule By" tools below to help you plan your visit! Peer Advisors can use their experience in that major to help you create a graduation (four year) plan.
